April 27th Update

Today has been an o.k. day. Two of Kent's brother's came to visit, but he has had such a tired day that he hardly remembers. He has asked us several times if they did come, almost like he saw them in a dream. But that has been the way he has been today. He has been so sleepy, and even a little cranky.

His chest X-Ray came back and everything looks good on that as of this-morning. Thank Heavens. But he hasn't eat'n much, so he has been started on a little fluid through his IV and also he is drinking (slowly) a little Insure drink.

Kents "sound" is starting to come back. Slowly we are understanding a lot more of what he is saying. It is nice to hear. He still has a hard time with a lot of words, but he is doing about 100% better than he was on Tuesday. His blood pressure has been a little high for a few days, but they are changing his meds and hopefully that will solve the problem. He is also starting Lung exercises with this blowy thing. Ohhhhh, he hates that. He had one in the last long hospital stay, I thought we were going to hear a few choice words when they brought that in. hee hee

Kent's brother Mark came up and gave us each a book that he has written. It is Wonderful! It is a children's book, and we are all so proud of him. And we are so excited to have our own copies, signed and everything.

Tammy and Michelle have been up here all day with me, and that is always nice. We have had some good chuckles and it breaks the tension. We ran over and got me an air matrice at Wal-Mart, so I should sleep a little better tonight. Cody brought the kids up to see Kent, and although he was tired he was so happy to see them. Paul and Kathleen came up, they are such dear friends. I was so happy to see them, Kathleen is so cheerful and it does me good to be around her. Paul told Kent that they should shoot some deer up here. But we didn't see any, so maybe we could pick off a few runners. Kent has giggled about that several times since they left. Cody's Mom and Step Dad and brother Jared came for a visit as well. And our ever faithful Jimmy, who we all love. With the lovely Lady Di.

Thanks to everyone who is praying for us and visiting us. We cannot thank you enough for all of your support, and love. We look forward to getting home! Hopefully that will be sooner than later.
