Update on Kent

Dr Ackerly wants to wait tell our next appointment to look at going to Arizona. If the x-ray looks ok and he is handling the chemo they we will look at doing chemo in St George. We would have to drive back every 21 days unless he has a CT scan then we would have to come to Huntsman. The new chemo make his face red and he get a little short of breath the first several days, and of course it makes him very tires but sure doesn't stop him form trying to over do. It took a couple of weeks to get over the shock of the tumors still being there but his attitude is much better now. We thought once you were told you had cancer noting would faze you but that's not true each time we get the news its like getting hit in the face for the first time again then you learn to deal with it and go on.

November is Lung Cancer month. For obvious reasons I am passionate about the cause of raising awareness and funds. I pray that you will look on my side bar and click the link to find out what you can do. There is a petition to sign. And I would love it if you could help me raise awareness by posting something on the sidebar, of your blog.

Also, there is a new book out it is called "My Stroke of Insight" by Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor. She is an amazing Harvard-trained neuroanatomist—a scientist who specializes in how the brain works. She has also suffered through a stroke. I encourage you to read this book. I believe that it will help others understand what is going on inside the brain of a stroke patient. I know that it has helped me with Kent. And I pray that if you do talk to Kent, really talk to him. Look into his eyes and wait for him to answer. Poor Kent is so embarrassed about his speech, he would like to just become a mute. But I know with patience, prayers and love we can coax more of his words out of him. He love you all, and so do I. Thanks for all you do.

Oh my goodness!! I've been waiting for an update - and was so hoping it would be "ALL GONE!" Dang it! But, I'm sure you can see and feel the miracles still - from prayers and the priesthood - Every day is a blessing - What a sweet man - what a sweet wife - and what a great family! I wish we knew what we could do for you! We still really want to come and visit - SOON! Still working on Todd's health - but we'll get there!

Please know you are always in our thoughts and prayers - and PLEASE let us know if there is anything that we can do for you - EVER!

We hope things work out so that you can go to Arizona and enjoy yourselves!

Love - us!
