Kent & farming

Well, just as I was thinking that poor Kent couldn't get out on his own he goes and does it! So today we went out to get onto the tractor and start cutting hay. I was driving, Kent was directing. As I almost hit a wheel line, Kent almost lost it. So as I kept my foot on the clutch, (let me tell you how fun that was) Kent and I traded places in the driver's seat. A couple of rounds on the tractor was like second nature to Kent. I jumped off, and off he went. I sprayed for weeds for the next several hours, while Kent Swathed. Kent was in seventh heaven. Funny how that is so second nature to him.

I am reminded of this time he was in the hospital in the big sleep. One of the funny breathing therapist's came in. He was great, one of the few we all really liked. He said that we were all going about this all wrong. He said "Just take a tape and put it to the back of a tractor as you start it up, that will wake him up!" I have thought about that a few times since then. Farming, who knew?
